Press Releases > Airlift Awards Students For Marketing Case Histories
CHICAGO, May 2007 – This year Airlift awarded two scholarships to two students for their excellent case histories in marketing. The winners were Ms. Marisol Rosero for her work on ideas to turn around the The Gap and to Mr. Quinn Costanzo, a freshman, for his idea of creating a web based learning bank to help students understand financial management and become more literate. Marketing chair, Margaret Sullivan committed resources to the idea of the award and to Professor Swidler for making the award event happen. Each year the works gets better.
We invest in students at Columbia College because we want to help build tomorrow's creative leaders.
Congrats to all the winners for their strategic thinking and commitment to excellence in marketing.

Subject: Late Thanks!
Hello!
First I want to apologize for sending this so late. Second I want to thank you enormously for this award. It has not only made my parents very proud of me but also it has encouraged me to do better a what I do, to work harder, and to transmit this feeling to my classmates as well as friends. I want to thank you for being so generous and kind, this is something beyond my expectations in this country. I do not know if you knew this, but I am an international student from Quito, Ecuador and I've been searching for financial help for a long time now. Unfortunately Columbia College does not offer any merit scholarships for international students specifically and this has been truly a blessing for me and my family because now I can go visit them in the summer, and I am so so very thankful for that. I want to show everybody that Columbia's education is one of the best in the country and that people like you make us want to be more, to stand out, and put Columbia's name in another level.
Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. God bless you.
Sincerely,
Marisol Rosero
